Translation page


We charge per source document translation page of 1800 characters (including spaces).
Sworn translation projects are an exception. Pursuant to Regulation of the Minister of Justice of 25 August 1986 on the Remuneration for Sworn Translators and Interpreters (as amended), a translation page of a sworn translation contains 1125 characters with spaces.

To estimate the number of translation pages, simply open your document using Microsoft Word, go to the menu and select Tools and Statistics. Divide the indicated number of Characters (with spaces) by 1800 (or 1125 for sworn translations) and round up the result, which is the approximate number of translation pages.

The rates provided here are net values. To calculate the total cost, please add 22% of VAT.

Other translation services

  • Technical translation (requiring expertise in a field and knowledge of technical vocabulary, e.g. IT, medical and literary translations). To calculate the cost of a technical translation, add 40% to the rates for a regular translation (see table).
  • Express translation (7–10 pages within 24 hours of the acceptance of an order, for smaller orders - delivery on the same day). Cost: regular rate (see table) plus 35%. Rates for texts of over 10 pages to be translated within 24 hours are agreed on individually.
  • Sworn translation : rates as above plus 50%. Note that a translation page for sworn translations has 1125 characters pursuant to the Sworn Translator Profession Act of 25 November 2004. To deliver a sworn translation we need to be provided with the original document. If for some reason you cannot provide it, the translated document will contain a notice informing on the form of copy on the basis of which it was produced (e.g. scan or fax or photocopy).
  • Native speaker proofreading - especially recommended if your document is to be published. Rates as above plus 35%.



Rates - interpreting

Poleng Translation Office offers interpreting services, both simultaneous and consecutive, including sworn interpreting.
We cover many lanuages, but we specialize in German and other group 1 (see above) languages.
Rates for interpeting are agreed upon individually.
