Poleng named Poznań's Academic Business Leader

The previous year surely counts as successful for the Company. Poleng made much progress in a number of areas. We launched Translatica 7, a major improvement both in relation to the earlier versions and our competitors' products. Globalizer won considerable renown as an excellent tool for creating and maintaining multilingual websites. We obtained EU funds for the development of an innovative Electronic Translation Management System. The end of the year brought the final stages of the development of such applications as Translatica 7 Server, LexTranslatica and LexTranslAide. We prepared the electronic edition a Hebrew-Polish-Hebrew dictionary. Last but not least, for our clients we completed a number of complex IT communication projects.

Aware as we were of these achievements, we did not expect to be awarded with anything else but our customers' satisfaction. We were all the more happy about winning the title of Poznań's Academic Business Leader. This certificate is awarded in a competition held by the Poznań District Administrator (Starosta), the Mayor of Poznań, the President of Poznań International Fair and the President of the Sejmik Gospodarczy Województwa Wielkopolskiego, a Greater Poland's business society. The final awards gala took place on 7 December 2009 at the Session Hall of the Poznań District (Powiat) Office. The event was broadcast live by WTK, a local TV station.

The winners of the seventh edition of the Poznań Business Leader competition were selected from among nearly 150 companies from Poznań and the Poznań District (Powiat). In the Academic Business category the selection criteria were, among other things, the idea for a business based on scientific development, project innovation and competitiveness, intellectual property protection mechanisms and market-oriented offer. We will hold the title of Poznań Academic Business Leader for three years, with the organisers promoting Poleng in selected media.
